When the plate did arrive was disappointed as what not up to the standard I had expected. I was concerned that it was getting closer to xmas and was told the plate would arrive before xmas. I did call customer services and they were very helpful so no complaints there. I used Danbury Mint for first time to purchase a Liverpool Plate for my partner for xmas, there was a long delay in getting the plate and just arrived before, I did receive updates on why there where delays apparently due to first batch that were received being rejected as not acceptable by Danbury Mint, cannot confirm whether this was fact. Not paying for something that is made so badly. The reason I say that is because when the first sculpture came, I broke a bit of polystyrene off when opening it, funnily enough I managed to find the little bit that broke off & it fits!!! I rang again & I am returning the package & have asked for a refund. I think they took it out, looked at it & put it back in the box, breaking the sceptre when re-packing. I have a feeling they have sent the same sculpture back to me. I received the 2nd sculpture this morning & lo & behold, the cross on the sculpture isn’t moulded properly & the sceptre is broken. It arrived on my birthday but when I opened it the cross on the sceptre wasn’t moulded properly, I called Danbury Mint & told me to send it back & they would send a replacement. It meant quite a lot as my birthday was 2 days before the Queen’s funeral. I ordered the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation sculpture, my husband bought it for my birthday. John Getty (Engineering Company Chief Executive) I will certainly order from them in future. Reading the comments on this site I suspect that some of the contributors should maybe try being polite and fair to the supplier, and they might get better results like we did. He was very pleasant and accommodating and he obviously had tried his best to get this specially made item to us in time. I award Danbury Mint 5 stars for the product and the kind service from the Gentleman I spoke to on the phone (he was from Yorkshire and recognised our postcode). She has several designer ones already, which cost a small fortune, but this Danbury one deserves its place among them. It is beautiful, well wrapped and nicely made, and the monogramming is ace. I was however still happy to proceed, and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in the post today. I ordered a monogrammed handbag for my Daughter but was told it might not be ready to deliver before Christmas.
